About YOURSTORY

As photographers, we share our work on social media and encounter countless images every day.
Today, generative AI can easily create images that are increasingly difficult to distinguish from photographs actually taken with a camera.
And it is not only photography. Videos, illustrations, writing, and many other forms of expression are now being generated by AI and published online every day.
In this era, we believe it is more important than ever to preserve the connection between a work and the person who created it — to make the artist’s presence visible and felt.

We value not only the work itself, but also the presence of the artist who created it.
YOURSTORY is a network connecting artists, photographers, and creative people, primarily between Japan and France.
Through online galleries, exhibitions, and collaborations, we aim to create a place where people and their work can meet, and where new stories can begin.

YOURSTORY and HumanLight

YOURSTORY is rooted in the concept behind HumanLight: preserving the presence of creative people.
Through HumanLight, we have met and interviewed artists and other creative people in France and Japan, documenting their lives and work through photography and writing.
As we met more and more creative people, we began to imagine a place where we could feel the “breath” of artists and photographers, and of their work.
That idea became YOURSTORY.
YOURSTORY is produced by Studio Tales together with French photographers with whom we have built relationships of trust over the years.

Japan × France × Photography

YOURSTORY uses WordPress-based web galleries as a way for artists to preserve their work over the long term and maintain control over it themselves.
We aim to create spaces built around ownership and continuity, independent of AI and third-party platforms, while building a network where human presence and warmth can be felt across time and distance.
